The IT Support Specialist supports the Workiva mission and objectives by ensuring that all employees are equipped with the relevant, functional equipment and software necessary to succeed in their roles. This position provides help desk and end point support to employees and consultants. The IT Support Specialist is empowered to make decisions as to the best way to meet user needs. This role will predominantly be supporting our Parseport team in Denmark and as such requires fluency in English and Danish.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a point of contact for end-users and provides basic technical support through in-person or remote communication as part of the Help Desk team
- Provides solution-oriented and customer-focused service while adhering to established practices and procedures
- Answers phone calls, emails and messages from internal customers regarding IT issues
- Shows initiative and acts independently to resolve problems
- Tracks and updates the status of issues utilizing a system
- Provides off-hour assistance on a rotational basis
- Triages support requests and assigns tickets to the appropriate team
- Analyzes and troubleshoots problems, striving for immediate resolution, and redirecting or escalating as necessary
- Performs installation and upgrades of applications, and device-specific software
- Researches solutions to problems using a variety of resources
- Create and maintain internal and external-facing knowledge base articles
- Awareness of security policies and best practices to help preventative efforts
- Basic asset tracking and management
- May assist on Workiva events
- May engage in technology-related project work
Skills
What You'll Need
- Knowledge of macOS, Windows 10/11, iOS, iPadOS, and Android operating systems including basic device management knowledge, and support
- Basic network troubleshooting
- Configuration and support of web browsers
- SaaS support and basic administration experience
- Manage end user accounts, permissions, and access for SaaS system
- Ability to effectively communicate by phone, text, and/or in person including translating technical terminology into everyday language
- Demonstrable proactive problem-solving experience
- Demonstrated ability to achieve successful outcomes in handling difficult situations and customers
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and customer expectations
- Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment
Experience
- Preferred 2+ years of helpdesk/technical support or related experience
- Knowledge of HubSpot platform preferred
- Small business support background is a plus
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
Travel Requirement
- Less than 10% travel
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift packages of 12kgs on a regular basis and up to 34kgs on an occasional basis
- Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office
- This is a hybrid role which does require some time in the office with the benefit of working from home on occasion
